Headaches come and go, but the pain you never forget. And if you suffer from headaches often, the hunt to find a way to deal with the constant throbbing is always top of mind.
While oral medications definitely help, ice packs are a great way to help soothe your discomfort if you want a natural solution. In fact, that's one reason why Amazon shoppers are fans of this wearable ice-pack hat.
Headache Hat Original, $39.99
It's essentially a big cold compress that you wrap around your dome to help ease the pain when you feel the signs of a headache coming on.
The hat features three rows of tiny, removable ice packs that you can switch out at any time. Additionally, it has a super versatile design. For example, you can wear it as a wrap around your neck or on any part of your body that could use some cold therapy relief. Plus, it's large enough to slide down over your eyes and help keep light out.
As a bonus, the hat is available in three sizes, including standard, regular and extra-large.
With a 4.6-star rating, it's definitely a winner among many Amazon shoppers with headache woes. One reviewer, who suffers from chronic migraines, called the hat a "lifesaver."
"When you have the kind of migraine that last[s] multiple days in a row, those reusable gel packs just do not cut it — they get warm way too quickly," they wrote. "Plus, you have to hold them on your head. This thing is a lifesaver. It lasts a long time, and I can fall asleep with it on."
And despite the relatively high price, one shopper described the hat as "money well spent."
"After using this item several times, I can say it was money well spent," they wrote. "The ice helps for sure, but the real winner for me here is the ability to apply pressure. I can tighten or loosen the band, I can move it around to different spots to change the pressure, cover my eyes if I want to and even fall asleep in it if needed."
At the same time, several shoppers did express some difficulty with sizing and adjusting the hat. But even so, this didn't appear to be a main concern with others.
